I don't think I'd want to keep my smokes in it too long but good for a few day trip. It is kinda bulky though so probably get a good tube for just carrying a single cigar with you. I took it out and bought a drymistat tube with the clear crystals and filled it with the xikar solution and it works great. Maintains a 70% rh. Humidifier works well for me, but still a great value even if you use the gel crystals. Case is very well constructed and has an air tight seal. I don't really keep enough cigars on hand to have a humidor, so this is perfect for me. I buy a few cigars at a time and travel a lot. Keeps them very well protected and fresh. I actually enjoy cigars especially to relax. As such with this "case" (humidor?) I can take some sticks with me camping, hiking and mountain climbing. The case IS waterproof, crushproof and reliant to rather large shocks and hits. Is this like a TUBO where one can store cigars basically forever so as long as the right humidity is kept?
