How Long Can My Cigars Stay Out Of A Humidor?

Just got a box of 25 Monte Cristo No. 1s. I need to get a humidor-how long will it take for my cigars to dry out if they remain in the sealed box wrapped in a plastic bag? Also-any advice for buying a humidor?

I initially put mine in the refridgerator, but was later informed not to do this. About the humidor, don’t cheap out. You can waste a lot of money on excess, but don’t get the cheapest one available. The main thing is to get one with a good natural seal and a moisture gauge. I think your cigars are safe for a considerable while being unopened, so you have time to pick out a good humidor.

Buy a humidor asap. Why would you buy a box of cigars before buying a place to put them? Well…until then I’d store them in a basement or another cool dark place. Get a humidor within the week.

    Hi!
I personally don’t smoke cigars but worked at a resort that had a humidor :)
I know we were pretty quick to get them in the HUmidor when they arrived – But I can’t recall how long they’d last outside the Humidor…
    Heres a link for you:http://www.humidor-guide.com/
All about building/using humidors, hope it helps :)

If you can’t put them in the humidor within a day, I suggest giving them to your friends to smoke the whole box.
