I want to know if i have a good source for buying tobacco, what do cuban cigars taste like? Compare them to cigarettes or other cheaper cigars.

Thanks to Uncle Fidel and his communist regime, most of the good cigar makers have left Cuba to set up shop in Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Costa Rica. A few others.
That being said, the very wide ranging tastes and flavors of cigars grown in different soils will depend on your personal preference. You’ll simply have to experiment with different filler/binder/wrapper combinations.
Try this: http://www.cigaradvisor.com/. That should get you started. Cigar smoking is not a habit, but a hobby. It will take research and trail & error to find your niche in the cigar world. Good luck, and happy smoking!

They’re SUPPOSED to taste like cigars, lol!
Can’t compare them to cigarettes as you are comparing two totally different products. Cheaper cigars? Why?!??!?!?
Each country’s cigars have their own unique flavors – Hondurans are earthy, Nicaraguans are spicy, etc.
To me, Cuban cigars all have a somewhat citrusy ‘twang’ that hits you in the back of the throat regardless of its body.

if your buying them in the U.S. i can guarantee their fake. 95 percent of Cubans in the U.S. are ripoffs so don’t buy them. get some Colombians, most of those are made by cigar rollers who left Cuba so they could sell their cigars in America (we’re the biggest buyers of cigars in the world). but to answer your question it really depends on the type of cigar and the family who made it.

There’s a big range of flavors in cuban cigars, from mild sancho Panza to bold BolĂvar. Your best bet is to try one bought at a Habanos (Official) store and compare it with the one you buy from your source. If your source is trusty they should taste and look similar.
