In general, smoking a cigar properly can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the size of the cigar. The two most important things are your comfort and the minimization of air currents (ie. a breeze).
With respect to your personal comfort, here are a few factors to consider:
    1) Comfortable seating. My personal favorite is a big leather, high-backed reading chair, or… a deep couch.
    2) Ambient temperature.
    3) Company. (preferrably an attractive girl who likes cigars!)
    4) Music.
    5) Snacks / drinks. Of course, the classic accompaniment would be whiskey or cognac.
    6) Something to do while you’re smoking. If you’re smoking with others, this could be conversation or a board game or cards. If you’re alone it could be something to read or a crossword puzzle, or your math homework.
As I mentioned, the other thing to be concerned with is the breeze or a draft. Part of the enjoyment is being able to see and smell the smoke, so if there’s a breeze blowing it away, you lose out on that enjoyment. A breeze (or even a draft from the air conditioning) can result in an uneven burn on your cigar, causing one side to burn faster and the other.
Some of my favorite places/situations to smoke cigars:
    – In the hot tub on a cold, still winter night. (just keep one hand dry)
    – Outside in the cold, still winter air. When the air is really cold, like during the winter, the air gets really dense. If you blow the smoke out slowly, it will stay together in a little cloud and just hang in the air right in front of you.
    – Outside in the summer twlight is the air is still.
    – Inside, anyplace it’s comfortable as outlined above. I particularly like restaurants that have dedicated cigar lounges.
    i DON”T like to smoke cigars…
    – in bars. It’s too noisy, cigarette smoke interferes with cigar smoke, and there’s always some annoying person asking if they can take a “drag” or a “hit” of your cigar.
    – doing any kind of physical activity. I know that some people like to smoke while walking or playing golf or mowing the lawn. But I think that cigars interfere with breathing during those activites. Also, moving around creates those breezes and drafts I was talking about earlier, and in my experience, it’s a sure way to get an uneven burn on your cigar.
    – if i’m rushed. Smoking a cigar can’t be rushed.
    Hope this helps!

Depends on my mood but usually it’s one of two places.
    1) Outside my house with good drink (Chivas or Chimay Blue) and some friends
    2) At a local cigar bar. I happen to be in Tampa so I my choices are large. I usually go to Tampa Humidor, Edwards or Club Habano. Each place has it’s own atmosphere and regulars so it’s dependent on the environment I choose to be around.

    Really depends on my mood
I usually smoke in the car on my way to/from work, on the deck/porch/hammock after dinner, at herfs, doing yard work and the like.
Most memorable smoking moment in recent memory – at a little jazz club on Grand Cayman Island with my fiancee – they had a great little walk in humidor with a good selection of Habanos……

I prefer to smoke a cigar outdoors, like on a porch or deck.
