I wash people’s head at hair salons (just got hired friday) and about half the heads I wash smell like cigar smoke. Is that bad for my health?

You are not actually breathing in the smoke, so no it won’t hurt you. Think of it as a skunk, you can smell it but unless you are actually sprayed by it it is not a real problem. Don’t let the smoking Nazis scare you with made up stories of second hand smoke or someones stinky hair being bad for you.

Yes second hand smoke is bad in any kind of way even if one smells it in your clothing or hair.

Well, a friend of mine has lung disease now and he does not smoke. Doctors say it is from other sources, such as breathing in smoke from a fire, or the exaust from a vehicle, and the smoke coming off of cigarettes and cigars.
So yeah, I think if you breath enough of it, it would be bad for your health.
