How To Get Cigar Smoke Out?

just moved in to a new apartment. apparently, the previous tenants smoked in my room. the room stinks like cigar and some. we already had the carpet cleaned and we put some baking soda as deodorant but the stink doesn’t go away.

    vinegar in bowls will help to absorb the stench as well.
    leave windows cracked (or better yet open) if possible.
    you may want to put charcoal in a disposable pan and put it in the closet, under the bed, and other hidden places as well.
    hope this helps, as i can only imagine how horrible it would be trying to sleep and smelling cigars.

    Cigar smoke is very permeable into everything. You might need to wash down the walls with ammonia cleaner to really get rid of it. Some pest companies have a spray that kills fire smoke odor that works well. Other than that, air out well, and maybe Fabreeze everything.

    Spray Febreze in there, your odors will go away.

    I would think the landlord/resident manager should take some of the responsibility for getting the stink out. At the very least, ask for their advice and ask if they will help you get rid of it. What they should have done is take some portion of the previous tenant’s deposit to pay for having professionals come in to tackle the job.
