Do We Need A Humidor For My Cuban Cigars If Room Humidity Is Already 75%?

I’m currently keeping my cigars, a few Cohibas, Partagas, and Punch in the cedar lined latched wooden box that came with the Cohibas. My room maintains a cool temperature and a humidity of around 75% which is the average in the Philippines, and remains so almost all year round.

75% is a little too wet, imho…..
Just to be sure, using the cheapest solution place some silica gel satchels (moisture absorbers) in the box but not in contact with the cigars – this should insure that the moisture is absorbed by the gel rather than your Cubans. Replace them with dry satchels when they change colour (read instructions on proper use) – recycle the satchels by placing them in a conventional oven (not microwave) in the lowest heat possible to remove the moisture.
Yes. The humidor provides a safe environment for your cigars. Its not only temperature but humidity as well. ALso. The humidor keeps out dust and other things you do not want on your cigars. Lastly, the cedar would adds a new element of taste to your cigar and helps keep it fresh. Just get one. Even a $30-50 one is fine.
