Can you tak a clear bottle, blow cigar smoke into it, put a cork on it really fast, and be able to see the smoke inside the bottle as long as the cork in secure? Will the smoke somehow dissappear overtime?

I bought this old roll top desk and when I bought it it didn’t smell obvious to me. I sanded it, primed it and repainted it. its a great shabby chic desk but the smell of smoke now is terrible and I dont know how to fix the problem. It seems like cigar smoke. I was told vinegar will make the desk smell like a pickled desk and now I just have candles and laundry sheets in the drawers instead. Any suggestions would be of help.Thanks

i used to smoke cigarettes, about a pack a day. then i quit for a year. now i am finding myself smoking 1-2 black & mild cigars a day, but i want to quit. oftentimes i dont even finish the entire cigar before stomping it into the ground. wouldnt it be relatively easy to quit now, before i become really addicted? i feel like i can do without, and i really wanna quit..
